The Fredericton Aquanaut Swim Team (FAST) is proud to host the 2024 East Coast Championships from July 6 to 9th 2020 in Saint John, New Brunswick. Open Water events will be held July 10

Qualifying Standards:
Swimmers can qualify for this meet using either short or long course times. LCM times will be seeded ahead of
SCM times.
Qualifying standards are based on the Nova Scotia AAA East Coast Standards. Qualifying times must be achieved
on or after October 1st, 2022. See end of meet package for Standards.
Options for qualification:
Swimmers that are 14 and Under:
Option #1: 200 IM or 400 IM plus any 200m event or longer
Option #2: Any 3 200m events or longer
Swimmers who are 15 and over
Require 1 qualifying time to compete
Bonus swims for all ages are as follows:
• 1 qualifying time = 4 individual swims
• 2 qualifying times = 5 individual swims
• 3 qualifying times = 6 individual swims
• 4 qualifying times = 6 individual swims
• 5 qualifying times = 6 individual swims
• 6 qualifying times = 6 individual swims
• 7 qualifying times = 7 individual swims
• 8 or more qualifying times = 8 individual swims
All ages must obtain the qualifying time in the 800m or 1500m freestyle to be eligible to swim the event. If they
attain the qualifying time in the 800m or 1500m free, they can swim the alternate distance without proof of
time.

Parking:
Parking is limited on site but there are multiple parking garages in the general vicinity of the pool
Meet Clothing:
Clothing will be sold. The Fredericton Aquanauts Swim Team website will be updated with this information when
it is available
Photos:
Flash photography is prohibited at the time of the starts for each heat
Pool Deck:
The pool deck area is limited to swimmers, their coaches, the officials and the meet organizers
Nut Free:
This is a peanut/nut free meet due to some swimmers having severe allergies. Please no peanut or nut products on the pool deck or in the change rooms
