Provincial and Regional Meets (Tier 2)

These are the multiple day meets with most lasting three days. There are usually qualifying standards required for swimmers to participate. Coaches will discuss with swimmers and families which of these meets the swimmers are eligible to attend. These meets are more expensive and the actual costs are more difficult to predict. There are five meets in this category. All meets except for East Coast Long Course Championships will be team meets with the swimmers staying with the team. There will be provision in the costs for those families who do not wish to stay with the team. Transportation will vary from meet to meet depending on location. These meets will be funded individually as indicated.

For these meets we will need chaperones. Chaperones travel with the team, (may need to drive if have rented vehicles for meet), are responsible for the team in the hotels and organize the meals for the swimmers. In some cases in the absence of a Team Manager present, the chaperones are also responsible for dealing financially with the hotel. Linda and Claudette would like individuals to volunteer for these positions as soon as possible. If we get more volunteers than we need, it will be on a first come, first served basis. Repeat volunteers may need to step aside for some one else. Please let us know if you are interested in a particular meet.
